6 de marzo, Día Europeo de la Logopedia
Hoy, 6 de Marzo, celebramos el Día Europeo de la Logopedia.
¿Por qué se celebra este día?
Desde 2004 se celebra el Día Europeo de la Logopedia para concienciar sobre los problemas en el habla y sus efectos en la salud, así como para reconocer la labor que los logopedas hacen cada día.
El objetivo principal de este día es la información. Se trata de que cada vez haya más información sobre la logopedia y que llegue a más población, consiguiendo así una mayor sensibilización con este tema por parte de las autoridades y un mayor conocimiento de las organizaciones locales que se dedican a las logopedia.
Además, este año se centra en destacar la figura del logopeda en las UCI de los hospitales. Adela Corrales, decana del Colegio de Logopedas de Andalucía habló para Diario Sur en un día tan importante como hoy. Afirmó que »la supervivencia en las UCI sería mayor si hubiera más logopedas».
